Looking for a little more acreage, perhaps a place to spread out and let some horses graze? Goochland and Powhatan afford plenty of opportunities to do so. Whether you’re looking to literally buy the farm or just an estate-style home with a few acres of land, these two mainly rural and agrarian–but growing–counties are a great place to put down some roots.
Goochland County offers convenient access to Interstate 64 and is less than a half hour west of the City of Richmond, and even closer to all the amenities of Short Pump. Powhatan County, with its gently rolling hills facing the James River, promises seclusion that’s not quite as far out as you might think.
